In the 2020 Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends survey, 53% of the respondents said that between half and all of their workforce will need to change their skills and capabilities in the next few years. One reason for this is that economies are shifting from ‘production’ to ‘imagination’, a shift that increasingly requires capabilities such as ‘innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity’ as well as less quantifiable capabilities such as ‘critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and collaboration’. There is greater competition than ever to fill new roles while retaining employees. However, while 74% of organisations believe that re-skilling their workforce is important, only 10% say they are very ready to address this need.

Typically, our clients have approached us because they have had a specific need or because they have required our expertise to guide them through one or more Learning and Development-related challenges. 


In the majority of engagements, our work starts by conducting a needs analysis, truly understanding the problem that you need to solve, and identifying the behaviour that you are aspiring to. We may also include one of our evaluator diagnostic tools to give us baseline quantitative data.

Our L&D consulting engagements vary considerably, but examples include providing support for a bespoke global programme, coaching skills development and end-to-end consultancy to develop a strategic priority from identification all the way through to a complete learner journey solution.

3. Deliver

The delivery phase follows the diagnosis and design phases. 


Purposefully Blended’s unique, holistic approach to consulting engagements rapidly helps clients shift their perspective on an issue and their relationship to it so that compelling solutions emerge.


Our solutions don’t just focus on the ‘formal’ instructor-led interventions – we ensure they bring in social- and experience-based learning to truly embed new skills and behaviours.


Our focus on embedding behaviours and on First-Line Manager coaching means that we are always mindful of the all-important ‘handovers’ in the ‘end-to-end’ learning plan.
